Cewit is the first of eight proposed Research Buildings being built on a newly developed parcel of land just west of the main Stony Brook University Campus. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning for this project is provided by three 200 ton Centrifugal Chillers connected to three 200 ton roof mounted cooling towers along with two 80 HP Gas Fired Boilers. Chilled and Hot water is distributed to supplemental service thru out the facility and to four main air handling units located in two roof level penthouses.
